Six Word Story Hand Made Typography Challenge
Since January 1st 2010, I have been involved in a daily collaborative challenge with copywriter Van Horgen, named Six Word Story Every Day. It is a story telling exploration through language and typography posted every day in the year 2010.
Since these stories have a focus on the written word and typography, I have done a great deal of manipulating typefaces, tracing type, mix and matching letters, creating my own type (see some on my type | design blog) and new fonts for download (Decopolitan, and this one which is still in progress).
The point of this post is that I would like to challenge myself, for the next 30 days, I am going to create the daily story typography & design by hand.
So- sketch, draw, paint, cut & paste, build, sew, glue, cook, photograph, sculpt, mold, weave, fold… etc. The possibilities are endless, yet challenging.
Keep up with the Six Word Story Every Day project on Flickr.
Two stories from Six Word Story Every Day were featured on the Abduzeedo Typography Mania #46 for this week

The post describes the project as follows (a very loose translation):
Words, design and very colored. These three elements are the base of the project idealized for editor Van Horgen, in partnership with designer Anna Ulku - the Six Word Story Every Day. Inhaled in Hemingway, Horgen writes a history with six words, that has as flat of fund the colors and the graphical work of the ilustradora. The anecdotes are postadas daily. Of the one take look in our selection!
